Ethics: Dilemmas
Ethics is not just theory but more on application to daily life. Sometimes you will encounter dilemmas or situations wherein you will feel like your trapped between two things. These situations can happen in your social lives or in your work environment.
The question is what do you do when you encounter difficult situation wherein you have to pick between doing the right thing or the wrong thing, and your being pressured by your boss or friend?
I have provided a link below that leads to the website of differencemakers. They have an earticle that lists a few examples of ethical dilemmas.
As students of ethics, I want you pick one dilemma and give a principled and reasonable solution to the problem.

Introduction to Literature: The Soldier and Death
Folk tales have a tendency to be interesting, and thus teach its lesson. As a supplement to the next discussion on the original fairy tales, here's a Russian Folktale as portrayed in Jim Henson's The Storyteller. Students of literature are to access the links below and watch the story.
Then place their analysis on the personality of the Soldier, who was the main character of the story.
What values were portrayed? If you were the soldier, would you have done the same actions? Would you agree to the ending (particularly with why he was unsuccessful in entering heaven)?
You are also expected to point out cultural and religious elements observed in the movie
And give a sensible and reasoned analysis on what the story's message is to the reader, listener or viewer.

General Psychology: Video Games in Psychotheraphy
It has been said that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Several studies point that violent video games can influence people to violence. I've recently found a scholarly study from the American Psychological Association that suggests video games as a therapeutic tool. Personally, I do believe that taking time to play keeps a person healthy. That is as long as the person doesn't get addicted with the game.
For my students in General Psychology. I want your sensible comments regarding whether or not video games can help develop a person's mind or lead to its decay.
